In Malaysia, customers would be familiar with the Esso and Mobil brands at our service stations, and on our LPG, lubricants and other fuel products.

The Esso brand is a familiar emblem to Malaysians, having been part of the country’s landscape since the turn of the 20th century.  Among the products that bear the Esso brand are our service stations and fuel products.

Mobil marketed products are known for their brand of innovation and cutting edge technology. The Mobil brand is carried on our service stations, vehicle and marine lubricants and fuel products.

 Many of our superior engine oils are marketed under the Mobil brand such as Mobil 1, the world’s first 100 percent synthetic engine oil and a world-leader in its category.

Mobil 1 exemplifies the cutting-edge application of advanced fuel technology in producing a superior engine oil. Utilizing a proprietary SuperSyn anti-wear technology, Mobil 1 offers first-rate oil protection and fuel economy.

Mobil 1 is well known for surpassing the stringent industry standards set by leading carmakers around the world. It is used in top-of-the-range cars such as Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Bentley. It is also the preferred engine oil of 70% of cars racing in the NASCAR® series and the McLaren team in the Formula 1 series.

The synergy fuel system is our signature petrol product offered at all Esso and Mobil service stations nationwide.

The synergy fuel system, comprising synergy F-1, synergy Regular and synergy Diesel, is a family of fuels, each developed to suit the different needs of our customers.

Malaysians who own vehicles with high compression ratio engines may opt for synergy F-1, a high-octane premium unleaded petrol (minimum 97 RON).

synergy F-1 enjoys the advantages of the latest, multifunctional, fully synthetic detergent additive package, which optimises engine performance while reducing emissions to the environment.

It incorporates a ‘friction modifier’ which reduces friction thus increasing power. It also ensures that engine and emission control systems are kept in top condition. The detergent helps keep the engine intake clean, resulting in cleaner emissions, benefiting both engine performance and the environment.

synergy Regular is a lower octane unleaded petrol (minimum RON92), which enhances engine performance in lower compression ratio engines, such as two-stroke and four-stroke engines.

synergy Diesel has high cetane and very low sulphur content making it an excellent choice for all diesel-fueled vehicles in Malaysia.

Higher cetane improves ignition quality, resulting in faster cold starts and a smoother driving experience. Lower sulphur results in reduced and cleaner emissions. Additionally, less acidic combustion gases are produced resulting in a prolonged engine life and engine oil service factor.

On-the-Run is a world-class retail store concept housed within our service stations; its motto: “Fast, Fresh, Friendly”.

We launched our On-the-Run stores in Malaysia in 2003, beginning with an outlet in Kuala Lumpur’s East-West link, and later expanding to key market areas in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor.

Malaysian drivers know that they can take advantage of quick, convenient shopping ‘on-the-run’, where a range of products from food items to everyday necessities are sold in a pleasant shopping-mart environment. On-the-Run stores also include cafes serving both hot meals and cold fare for dine-in and take-out customers. Coupled with well-lit carparks, wide aisles and friendly staff, the On-the-Run store promises to make each visit a delightful experience. Complementing the On-the-Run stores are Esso Tiger Marts and Mobil Marts, smaller stores which offer convenience and great value.

We offer two types of fuel cards for our customers:

1.   Fleetcard for commercial clients with more than three vehicles.

Our commercial clients can take advantage of our Fleetcard payment facility, a convenient and value-added payment method that helps companies manage their fleet and fuel expenses. The Fleetcard is accepted at about 530 service stations across Malaysia, providing customers greater flexibility and convenience.

2.   Diesel Discount Card for individuals or owners of commercial vehicles.

We have introduced a Diesel Discount Card for customers who are eligible for diesel purchases at service stations under the Government's subsidised diesel control scheme. This scheme allows eligible customers to purchase diesel at 15 sen/litre lower than the set pump price.

Individuals or owners of commercial vehicles whose subsidy entitlement has been approved by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA) can apply. 

Malaysian households, business and commercial sectors enjoy the expedient and safe supply of our LPG products, marketed under the Essogas and Mobilgas brands.

Our vast distribution network comprises over 300 dealers and stockists across the country, and makes it easy for domestic users to get their regular supply of convenient and clean cooking gas.

With its cleanliness, high combustion efficiency and constant and uniform quality, our LPG products provide distinct advantages for commercial heating, drying, baking and other processes.
