Kuala Lumpur, March 8 - Esso Malaysia Berhad (EMB) and ExxonMobil Malaysia Sdn Bhd (EMMSB) have introduced a Rebate FleetCard for customers who are eligible for diesel purchases at service stations under the Government's subsidised diesel control scheme. This scheme allows eligible customers to purchase diesel at 15 sen/litre lower than the set pump price.
The Rebate FleetCard, valid at all Esso and Mobil service stations nationwide, is offered free of charge to individuals or owners with up to 3 commercial vehicles, whose subsidy entitlement has been approved by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA). According to EMB Retail Business Director Faridah Ali, customers enjoy the following benefits when they sign up for the Rebate FleetCard: - No financial or bank statements required for application.
- Subsidy for diesel purchases by cash or credit card credited weekly to customer's bank account.
- Smiles points for fuel and mart purchases under Esso and Mobil's Smiles Driver Rewards Programme can be redeemed instantly for fuel and mart items at any Esso and Mobil service station.
- Convenient service at 570 Esso and Mobil service stations nationwide.
- Free personal accident insurance coverage up to RM150,000 underwritten by American International Assurance Company, Limited (AIA) for those who qualify.
"At Esso and Mobil, we work hard to give our customers absolute value by stretching every ringgit that they spend. Besides the convenience and flexibility of the Rebate FleetCard, customers are assured of high quality diesel fuel. Our Synergy diesel has the lowest sulphur content in Malaysia, giving smoother engine performance and cleaner emissions, and prolonging engine life," Faridah commented. Rebate FleetCard application forms are available at any Esso or Mobil service station. Interested customers can fill up the form and submit it, together with their diesel subsidy approval letter from MDTCA, to the Esso or Mobil service station nearest to them. Meanwhile, companies which operate a fleet of vehicles can take advantage of Esso and Mobil's existing FleetCard, a fleet management system which helps customers to manage and control the purchase of fuel, lubricants and convenience store products by their drivers. The FleetCard is for companies with more than 3 vehicles and is also issued free of charge upon approval. Among the features are: Monthly billing for nett purchases after deduction of eligible subsidy. - Pre-selection of types and value of transactions allowed at the stations for better control of expenditures.
- Security features which prevent unauthorised transactions by cardholders.
- Monthly invoice and optional vehicle performance report to keep track of every FleetCard transaction and monitor fleet performance.
- Option to enrol in the Smiles Driver Rewards programme to enjoy instant redemptions and attractive gifts.
