Kuala Lumpur, April 5 -- Esso Malaysia Berhad (EMB), today announced that with effect from April 1, 2006, Mr. Lam Foo Keong has been appointed Executive Treasury Director.  He has also been appointed Treasurer of the ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia effective the same date.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Lam was the Area Business Support Centre Manager for ExxonMobil Business Support Centre Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

He joined Esso Malaysia Berhad in 1975 in the Controller’s department.  During his career, he has held a number of supervisory and managerial positions of increasing responsibility in various departments including Downstream Financial Reporting Manager, Downstream Controller, Offshore Accounting Manager, Corporate Finance Manager, Finance & Planning Manager.  Mr. Lam has also completed overseas assignments with Esso Eastern Inc. in Houston, Exxon Company, USA Controller's in New Orleans, and with the ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd Chemical Complex Project in Singapore.

Mr. Lam graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Universiti Malaya.
