Kuala Lumpur, August 18 - The ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia today announced that their Chairman, Dato' Rob Fisher, has accepted a new assignment as Vice President, Operated By Others (OBO) Projects, ExxonMobil Development Company effective September 1, 2006. Dato' Rob Fisher will be based in Houston, Texas. In his new position, Dato' Rob Fisher will have oversight for the development and management of ExxonMobil's upstream assets operated by co-venturers. Dato' Rob Fisher, a British citizen, was appointed Director and Chairman of ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia in January 2003. He has spent a total of eight years working for ExxonMobil in Malaysia, inclusive of a previous assignment as Operations Manager and subsequently Natural Gas Manager in Esso Production Malaysia Inc., from 1993 to 1998. Prior to his current assignment in Malaysia, Dato' Rob Fisher was Executive Vice President, Upstream, with ExxonMobil Saudi Arabia (Southern Ghawar) Limited. His career has spanned a range of senior management and technical positions in ExxonMobil's upstream and downstream business. He joined the Esso Refinery at Fawley, United Kingdom in 1976 before moving on to a number of positions in Supply in the U.K. and in Europe. His upstream assignments have also included Operations Manager, Esso Exploration and Production, U.K. In 1998, Dato' Rob Fisher was appointed Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Exxon Corporation, before becoming Vice President, New Business Development in the ExxonMobil Gas Marketing Company in December 1999. Dato' Rob Fisher holds an Honours degree in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University, United Kingdom. Mr. Liam M. Mallon, currently President, ExxonMobil Canada Ltd, will succeed Dato' Rob Fisher and relocate to Malaysia effective September 1, 2006.
