Kuala Lumpur, August 30 - The ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia today announced that Mr. Liam M. Mallon has arrived in Malaysia to take up his position as the Production Manager of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. (EMEPMI) with effect from September 1, 2006, and Chairman of the ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia with effect from September 14, 2006. Mr. Mallon has also been appointed to the Boards of Directors of EMEPMI, Esso Malaysia Berhad, ExxonMobil Borneo Sdn Bhd and ExxonMobil Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Prior to his assignment to Malaysia, Mr. Mallon, who hails from Ireland, was President of ExxonMobil Canada Ltd. where he was responsible for all activities related to ExxonMobil's production business in Canada. ExxonMobil Canada's significant offshore and onshore production operations include the Hibernia and Sable fields, interests in the Terra Nova development and Orphan Basin, the Cold Lake field and Syncrude tar-sands mining operations. Mr. Mallon's career has spanned a range of senior management and technical positions in ExxonMobil's upstream and downstream business. He started his career with Mobil North Sea Ltd in 1990, and moved through various technical and operations positions. In 1995, he was appointed Upstream Advisor in Mobil Oil Corporation in Fairfax, Virginia before moving to the downstream as Supply and Trading Manager (Caspian/Mediterranean) in 1997. Subsequently, he became the Operations Manager, Mobil Producing Nigeria Ltd and later, Operations Director for ExxonMobil's oil and gas operations in Australia. After an assignment as Global Planning Manager for the ExxonMobil Production Company in Houston, Texas, Mr. Mallon was appointed President of ExxonMobil Canada Ltd based in Halifax, Canada. Mr. Mallon holds a Masters of Science (Honours) in Petroleum Engineering from Heriott Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with first class honours from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. Dato' Rob Fisher, the outgoing Chairman of the ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia has been appointed Vice President, Operated By Others (OBO) Projects, ExxonMobil Development Company, effective September 1, 2006 and will be based in Houston, Texas.
