KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 -- ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. (EMEPMI) today announced that with effect from March 1, 2007, Mr. Thevanathan K. K. Nathan has been appointed its new East Coast Manager. He succeeds Encik Yusof Embong who retired last March 1 after more than 26 years of service in the company. Thevanathan, 45, will be the focal point for contacts on community relations in Terengganu where ExxonMobil has significant oil and gas business presence. He will be based in Kerteh and will manage operations at the Terenggganu Crude Oil Terminal (TCOT) and the Onshore Slug Catcher (OSC) in Kerteh as well as Jerneh and Lawit gas operations offshore Terengganu. His additional duties as East Coast Manager will include the responsibility to oversee and coordinate EMEPMI staff and activities located onshore Terengganu. Thevanathan joined ExxonMobil in 1988 as an associate engineer and rose through the ranks to hold positions of increasing responsibility within EMEPMI's production organization including Marine Supervisor, Logistics Superintendent, Safety and Operations Integrity Manager and Best Practices Superintendent. Thevanathan graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Honours from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1985.
