KUALA LUMPUR, January 18 – Esso and Mobil Fleet Card customers can now sign up for a new Dual Fleet Card which offers greater benefits with added protection. The Dual Fleet Card was launched as an option to complement the existing Fleet Card programme. Under the new Dual Fleet Card function, customers get a vehicle card assigned to each vehicle, and a driver card which carries a specific personal identification number assigned to each driver. Both cards have to be swiped before a purchase can be made. Every transaction is recorded electronically and can be tracked to the specific driver and vehicle. For Fleet Card customers who have to manage several vehicles and drivers in their company, this system enhances individual Fleet Card users'/drivers' accountability. In addition, Fleet Card customers will benefit from efficiencies in managing their vehicle and driver arrangements. "Cost control is an important element in any business. Our new Dual Card can help our Fleet Card customers have greater control and flexibility in their fleet operations and add to cost efficiencies," said Esso Malaysia Berhad Retail Business Director Faridah Ali. Available to commercial customers, the Fleet Card programme is a convenient and value-added computerised payment method that helps companies manage their fleet and fuel expenses. Fleet Cards can be programmed to meet specific needs by placing credit limits and using driver-specific PINs to track usage. They can also track their fleet’s fuel efficiencies and manage fuel expenses through their invoices and the Vehicle Performance Report. Fleet Card customers who sign up for e-Business have the added benefit of managing their accounts online. The Fleet Card is accepted at over 560 Esso and Mobil service stations across Malaysia, providing customers greater flexibility and convenience. Fleet Card customers can also sign up for the Smiles Driver Rewards programme and earn Smiles points on their Fleet Card fuel purchases. Smiles points can be redeemed instantly for fuel and mart items at Esso and Mobil service stations or exchanged for attractive gifts from the redemption catalogue.
