One of our biggest contributions to the arts is the Hadiah Sastera Kumpulan Utusan (The Utusan Group Literary Awards), having donated RM400,000 to the awards to date. The Utusan Group is one of Malaysia’s leading Malay language publishing houses. The awards were established to help preserve Malay literature and promote the works of young Malaysian writers. The categories are: short stories, poetry, adolescent novels, literary studies and literature articles.

We are also sponsors of the Anugerah ExxonMobil-KAWAT, an award which recognises the contributions of journalists in the State of Terengganu.
