While we manage our businesses with the goal of preventing incidents, we maintain a strong capability to respond to operational emergencies to minimize the potential impact of incidents.

Emergency response teams, which comprise ExxonMobil personnel, and both local and regional experts, are well trained and are routinely tested against a range of scenarios including product spills, fires, explosions, natural disasters, and security incidents.  Employees at worksites have high emergency response preparedness through frequent briefings and drills, while all offshore workers are required to undergo rigorous safety training such as Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and Sea Survival Training as a condition to receiving their safety passports.
